Tropical Prince A
Taken from a highly detailed and intricate Liberty paisley scarf, originally printed in 1970. Tropical Prince is made up of dense curly leaf shapes, reminiscent of ferns growing on the jungle floor.
From the SS21 Atlas of Dreams Collection, Tropical Prince is part of the Tropical Story. The ‘Tropical’ story is painterly and vivid, with brush strokes inspired by the works of artists like Henri Rousseau and Paul Gauguin. The scenery is alive with the movements of insects, frogs, lemurs, monkeys and birds, from the jungle floor to the dappled canopy above. Some prints channel a psychedelic ‘60s feel, while others evoke an intricate botanical naturalism of creeping tendrils and trailing vines – a captivating setting, teeming with life on every level.
Please note: We tear our Liberty to achieve a line that follows the grain of the fabric - fabric edges may reflect this process.
