Thorpe is named after the artist John Hall Thorpe, whose early-1900s paintings inspired its dense floral layout. drawn up by the Hayward studio in 1968. The dense small floral design is reminiscent of Liberty Fabrics’ 1930s floral prints and a mixture of these will have provided the inspiration. Thorpe has been on classic tana since 1979.
Please note: We tear our Liberty to achieve a line that follows the grain of the fabric - fabric edges may reflect this process.
