Betsy X Splash
“One of the first Art exhibitions I went to as a child was of David Hockney’s pool paintings and the colours have been ingrained in my imagination ever since. This Betsy colourway is a look back through a hazy lens to those imagined colours” – from the Alice Caroline Halcyon Daze Collection.
Betsy is a stylised small floral design, created in 1933. The only clue we have of who designed it are the initials DS, who designed many of our favourite Liberty Fabrics patterns. Betsy has been part of the Classics collection since 1982.
