Starting on the 7th October 2022 – get your sew along guide now!
*You can join anytime*
We are hosting an Instagram Sew Along for our NEW Petal & Bud Quilt.
Inspired by Spring and our new range of EPP Papers and Templates, this quilt is a playful take on a traditional Grandmother’s Garden design created with jewel, hexagon and diamond shapes.
It has been designed with our Love Liberty Club members in mind, although anyone who purchases the pattern is welcome to Sew Along with us. This quilt can be made using our Liberty Fat 16th Bundles, with a few add ons for the foliage.
The Sew Along will run for 12 months – making use of 11 x club bundles that will be released in that time. Of course you are welcome to join the SAL any time – this is just the timeframe in which we are hoping to complete our quilt.
The quilt will end up being a single size – approx 150cm x 210cm
*The Sew Along Guide also includes instructions for a queen size quilt (210cm x 210cm)*

We’ve created four seasonal colourways to choose from… here are digital mock ups of the layout and colours you can expect to see coming together as you construct your quilt. The beautiful rainbow of flowers is based on 11 months of Love Liberty Club bundles.
We are sewing the WINTER GARDEN version of the Petal & Bud Quilt – there are 4 colour palettes on offer, or you can take it in your own direction! We have listed the recommended fabrics and the amounts needed on the starter kit pages for each of the colour palettes!
We will be using English Paper Piecing to complete our quilt, but hand piecing can also be used. We will provide video tutorials for the EPP method in the ‘Garden Shed’ which you can access when you purchase the Sew Along Guide.
Each month we will show you our block layouts using the Love Liberty Club fabrics – you can also supplement with fabric from your stash, purchase extra bundles, use your past club bundles or upgrade to fat 8th is you are a fan of fussy cutting!
HOW TO TAKE PART
The first step is to get the Petal & Bud Sew Along Guide… this will give you the quilt pattern plus access to the Garden Shed (member home page!) on our website. The Garden Shed will be a one stop shop for all the sew along tutorials, tip and tricks, recommended tools and products, colouring sheets and more.
Love Liberty Club members automatically receive 50% off the price of the Sew Along Guide!

COLLECT YOUR SUPPLIES
The next step is to pick your Season colour palette and start collecting your supplies…
Then you will be ready to start planting and watch your petals & buds bloom!
We have four colour palettes on offer – Winter Garden, which Tanya is making, or the Spring, Summer and Autumn Gardens. We have created a starter pack listing for each along with the recommended notions (glue pens, papers, templates etc) and fabrics required.
